Uhm... I was better at math in school, actually. This is strange.

It's been a long, strange few months for Yoko. Kevin's been stressed out, although he tries his best to hide it. Becky's been fretting with increasing intensity over Yoko's stomach and the baby. She's taken to looking at her reflection whenever she passes a window, taking a good hard long look at the strange woman she sees looking back at her. The baby kicks now and then.

Yoko wonders sometimes how it's gotten this far. But compared to what she's about to do now, even Raccoon City was as easy as a walk around the corner. She takes a deep breath, runs a hand through her hair (it's getting a little too long; she needs a haircut soon), picks up the receiver, and dials in the number she knows by heart.

Well, now Yoko understood why people warned newcomers about food and drink in the Nexus. But computers? She really hadn't expected that to happen, but what could be done? At least she could see straight now. And at least she got to keep the nifty little laptop. So in that respect, she had gotten through her first LOL relatively scot-free. No thanks to the guy who had been handing out the gadgets in the first place.

Hence why there is a Yoko camped out at base with a laptop in hand. She's sitting at a low table, tpying happily away. And boy, she's starting to show around the stomach area. She winces slightly and puts a hand on her stomach. "Ow," she hissed. "That was my kidney. Could you stop kicking it, please?" Like the baby could hear her. But it was worth a shot.

Type, type, type. She's looking up baby names. Because isn't that what every mother-to-be does beforehand?

All she needs is feedback from Kevin, now. Where he is, that's the question.

Battle Grounds Coffee Shop
New York City, New York

The irony of the shop's name had never really been lost on Yoko. It was probably just meant to be a pun about coffee grounds, but she didn't read it that way. God knows it was usually noise enough inside to sound like a battleground. Between people talking, glasses clinking, and whatever music happened to be blaring from the counter-side boom box, it was enough to cause a headache if you tayed there too long. The coffee was good, though, and that's what mattered the most to her.

Yoko sat near a window looking out at one of the city's community gardens and sipped her cup of coffee (two sugars, two cremes). At least it was a busy day inside the coffee shop, so even if something catastrophic happened, there would be at least half a dozen college students with cell phones to call the police. Or record the havoc with cameras, anyway.

"I wonder when he'll get here." She set down the coffee cup and fiddled nervously with her napkin. "I-It just seems... weird. But I have to talk to him again. Face-to-face. It's not too much different from before." The only difference being years in between that random meeting in the Nexus.

"...This has to happen, I guess."

((One of the secrets in Dear Multiverse is Yoko's. I made it myself! :D Guess which one it is! I'll even give you a hint: she's in it. Sort of. Good luck!

And yes, I'm a bit too lazy to post an actual post right now. But today was my first day back to college, and I'm seriously pooped out right now. Whew. Three bus rides for two classes at two campuses. Journalism class is going to be so worth it! And no, this is not a hiatus notice. I'll do my best to still be here even while college is going on.

Good luck, guys!))

We have a situation in the Nexus. Zombies of an unknown origin have appeared in the Nexus and Captain Redfield is requesting immediate help or a clean-up of said zombies. They are not, I repeat, are NOT, of Umbrella origin. Movements are jerky, non-fluid in nature. They may or may not be akin to the zombie-like creatures that attacked the Nexus that one time.

Any and all assistance is greatly needed in the Nexus. Coordinates are as follows: (http://community.livejournal.com/dear_multiverse/2635024.html). Please hurry to the site and assist with clean-up as needed. Chris and I can't handle a job this big ourselves. Thank you.

PS. Did anyone else notice a huge... I don't know, earthquake last night? It knocked my Nexus monitoring relays off the scale. Thankfully, I got my headphones off before then. I suspect the feedback would have deafened me. I'd like some info from you guys about anything weird going on in the greater Nexus-connected area.

((Because I made this list last week- really, I did- here's what Yoko bought everyone for Christmas. Each person got at least one gift, and in some cases, more than two. Yoko felt like splurging a little for her first STARS Christmas. :3 This list is for your ease and convenience for the party!thread. So... uh, yeah. Look to see what your pup got! :D))

Of all the trees
That are in the wood,
The Yoko bears the crown.

Uh... that explains the crown from a Christmas popper that I found outside the apartment door last night. Although I'm not a tree.

Aah, pie. Can't have any holidays without some sort of baked good. For most of them, it's bread or cake. But for Christmas and Thanksgiving, it's pie. Sweet, delicious pie. Something about autumn just makes it an obligation to eat at least one slice of punpkin pie. Ice cream is optional, of course. Which brings us to the matter at hand...

Yoko's busy puttering around the kitchen, humming someting under her breath. She may or may not be baking what may pass as cookies under the broadest term of the word. Right now, they look like little paperweights. Hey, there's only half of the Thanksgiving pie she made left. She figures that when somebody eats the leftovers, then the base will need more baked goods.

Of course, that pie half is currently reserved for a special someone. She just hopes he doesn't get food poisoning after he eats it! Because she put a lot of work into making it, and with her luck, it may not have been enough. But it smells right and it looks like a pie. So it's probably a-OK!

Hurry up, Kevin. Your pie (and your girlfriend) is waiting!
